HighScope

PLACE Early Learning utilizes the HighScope curriculum in maximum efforts to attain and retain NAEYC accreditation. This curricula is based on more than 50 years of research on early childhood development and is validated through a direct evaluation of the curriculum in practice. HighScope Preschool curriculum is organized around eight concept areas and 58 key developmental indicators and outlines the experiences essential for the development of fundamental abilities that emerge in early childhood.

These indicators are aligned with national and state early learning standards, Common Core State Standards, and the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework. In practice, HighScope mirrors a child-led approach and our classrooms are open, warm, and utilize analog toys for optional learning and exploration.
